Our New Generation Container Structures at the Fekola Mine Site

Our new generation container site structures were chosen for site mobilization structures at the Fekola Mine Site, one of Africa's major gold mining areas. The Fekola Mine and Anaconda Region are located 40 km south of Kenieba city, on the Senegal border, in southwestern Mali.

864-Person Construction Site Mobilization

The Anaconda area, located within the Fekola gold deposit, was discovered in 2020 following drilling operations. After the discovery, the mining company, which accelerated its gold extraction activities, reached an agreement with Karmod for the production and construction of the construction site mobilization structure group. During the project phase, a plan was made based on the number of personnel to be accommodated in the construction site worker camp, and it was decided to set up 5 separate blocks using the container construction site model.

After the project was approved, pre-production was completed in a short period of 14 days using a new generation container model in modern facilities with a total enclosed area of 4056 m² and a capacity of 864 people. The structures, prepared for shipment with a package system, were transported by sea container to the port of Dakar in Senegal and then by road to the mine site in Mali. The construction site structures, whose logistics were completed on the day they arrived, were assembled by our teams prepared in the region and were ready for use within 115 days.

Five blocks were constructed as part of the Anaconda mine site camp mobilization project. Three of these structures consist of three-story construction container dormitory buildings. Each dormitory building has a closed area of 1260 m2, and 78 container units measuring 230x6 meters were used in each building. Each floor has 24 container dormitory rooms, with one toilet and shower container unit located on each side at the end of the corridor. The toilet and shower container units contain six toilet and shower cubicles each. The container dormitory rooms are designed with beds and furniture for a capacity of four people.

The container construction site project also includes two additional buildings covering 138 m². These buildings were constructed by combining five container units measuring 230x12 meters. One of these structures will serve as a container dining hall, while the other will be used as a container gym.

A to Z Construction Site Mobilization at the Fekola Site

The Fekola mine site construction site mobilization project, produced using modern construction site building technologies with Karmod expertise and installed on site in a short time, was completed with turnkey implementation with A to Z supplies. In addition to the production and construction of the buildings, every detail, from dormitory bunk beds, mattresses, lockers, work desks, office furniture, cafeteria kitchen equipment, dining tables and chairs, to toilet and shower units, mirrors, soap dispensers, and other accessories, was prepared and delivered by Karmod.

Africa Modular Prefabricated Structures

Karmod recently completed the production and shipment of a 500-person worker camp settlement to be used by workers at a mine in the city of Tureyf, located in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on the matter, Karmod General Manager Hakan Durmaz emphasized that they have carried out numerous camp projects across Africa and the Middle East, ranging from oil and natural gas energy to mining. Hakan Durmaz also stated that countries such as Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Tanzania, Eritrea, Sudan, Congo, Madagascar, Iraq, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are among the countries where Karmod has built the most worker camps.

Karmod: The Preferred Choice for Worker Camp Structures in the Middle East and Africa

Karmod, the brand for modular prefabricated structures in Africa, has become the preferred choice for prefabricated worker camp buildings in Africa.

Karmod, the brand for quick-assembly modular prefabricated structures, has become the preferred choice for modular prefabricated worker camp buildings in Middle Eastern and African countries.

The prefabricated structures, consisting of a total of 11 different buildings, which were pre-manufactured in Karmod's modern facilities in a short period of 1 month, will be assembled by expert teams upon arrival at the camp site in the city of Tureyf. Installation is planned to be completed in a short period of 1 month.

All structures required for a worker camp have been produced within the scope of the project. The building group, with a total area of 5,277 square meters, includes three different dormitories with an area of 3,811 square meters. Administrative managers, supervisors, and workers will stay in these dormitories. Other structures produced as part of the project include management offices, a dining hall, a mosque, a lounge, a canteen, a laundry room, a gym, a storeroom, and toilet and shower units.
