As one of the leading organizations shaping the real estate sector in Turkey with its new housing production and transformation projects, Emlak Konut Real Estate Investment Trust Inc. has included our construction site structures in its Gebze 3rd Phase project. We built a construction site building with our new generation container model for the Emlak Konut GYO Gebze 3rd Stage project, which will provide housing for 7,000 people upon completion.
The building, constructed in two 3-story blocks using a combined container system, was prepared as a construction site dormitory. The container dormitory building was designed to be expanded in two phases according to customer demand, based on the number of employees working on the housing project. In the first phase, the first block was prepared as a two-story building. In this phase, the dormitory building, consisting of 56 container units, including 4 toilet and shower units and 52 dormitory rooms, was put into operation. In the subsequent process, with the ease provided by the combined container structure system, a third floor was added to the project with an additional block, increasing the capacity of the construction site building to 875 people with a total of 114 units, including 6 toilet and shower units.
As part of the construction site mobilization project, dormitories with passageways between them were prepared on each floor. Taking into account the hygiene requirements of the structure, toilet and shower container units were placed at the far ends of the block. Each toilet unit, with two units on each floor, has 7 separate cabins and sinks. Prepared in accordance with international occupational and worker health standards, the dormitory building provides high insulation, refreshing rest areas, and full structural and fire safety conditions.
Karmod's new generation container, with sandwich panel system walls and roof panels, offers comfortable accommodation to the personnel staying inside, regardless of summer or winter climate differences. Planned for use for at least 3 years, the structure can be dismantled according to the customer's preference upon completion of the housing project and transported or stored for use in another project, thanks to its bolted and interlocking, i.e., modular construction feature.
