With our construction site structures, we have taken our place in the construction process of the Darülaceze Social Services City, one of Turkey's important social projects, which is “a home for the homeless.”
As Karmod, we are proud to be part of such an important project as the Darülaceze Social Services City project, established on an area of approximately 150,000 square meters in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul.
Designed with a new generation container building system, the total size of the Arnavutköy Darülaceze Social Services City construction site dormitory buildings is 2,547 m². Three separate blocks, which will house 540 workers employed on the project, were constructed in just 12 days and began providing service.
The container construction site structures produced with the new generation technology we developed at Karmod provide workers with the comfort of their own homes. The three blocks, each produced and installed with the same level of comfort, were designed with the same plans. Each block rises three stories high, featuring dormitory rooms and WC shower facilities.
The Darülaceze dormitory buildings, which are accessed from the narrow front, have five bedrooms on each side of each floor. Each block has a total of 30 construction site dormitory rooms, with 10 rooms on each floor. Again, on the entrance of each floor, 7 WC containers are located on the right and 7 shower containers on the left. In each of the three blocks, 90 separate dormitory rooms were prepared, each accommodating 6 people in the best ergonomics. Throughout the project, 63 WC and 63 shower units were completed with ready-to-use sinks.
The three-story construction site blocks feature long connecting corridors that open outward on both sides. These dual exits also function as fire escapes.
